Yesterday at the planning meeting we observed one of the wonders of the modern age - a vast new mobile phone mast being manoeuvred from Selwyn's field across the hedgerows. It had come all the way from we think Darlington and goodness knows how it got round the corner at Cheldon Cross!
This morning brightish and sort of early we peered across to the farm and there it was, already up and installed!
So, breakfast hastily gulped, off we strode up the lane for a better view. One day we might get a proper signal, but for now it seems it’s for emergency services.
As we were out, we continued up and through the fields for a short stroll. A lovely morning with a bit of breeze and fresher than yesterday. That’s it really. Lazy day. Sweet peas are coming on - the smelliest ones are a somewhat weary colour though and I now realise I should have mixed them with the more colourful but less scented ones.
Foxgloves are fabulous all over the garden with subtly different speckles. Lots more pix on album.
