See if you can spot him (aka great tit). You’ll need to enlarge the image.
I finally fooled him into staying still. As for the basket base, it was undone. I applied a decorative binding with a skein of willow but really it wouldn’t do. A bit like shoring up a crumbling foundation when you’ve only just started the building. Not worth it - better to start again.
A lovely day again and the flowers are taking turns to come out or fade away. I spotted the first signs of papery cream on the laburnum racemes, white ragged robin is setting seed, the iris are on their final flags. But the roses are slowly taking over. Buff Beauty living up to his name, Albertine showing her flame like buds, Cornelia a picture of pretty pink, even the first glimpses of Rosa Mundi peeping out from behind a leaf. And many more dotted about round the place. I know them all!
Off for F and C once more!
