Daily life

I have to admit that apart from not being able to see Adam or go to the pub, life here is pretty good. Not so very different from our normal existence which is largely isolated anyway. We’ve accepted that there's no point worrying about the Sablet house. Nothing we can do and at least we have friends there who can pop in. So annoying that all my summer clothes are there however.
We now speak to Adam twice a week on Facetime and somehow manage to fill the full hour each time. And we’re very impressed by his total lack of complaint at yet again having to cancel his annual holiday.

The weather has been fabulous most of the time (some rainy days) and we have done masses of gardening and gone for walks in the fields and along the river. So far there are not many animals out so we can wander at will. It’s been a real treat to be here to see Spring unfurl from daffodils and primroses to violets to bluebells, and enjoy being outside. We know we are unbelievably fortunate compared to people stuck in city flats. For once we are in the right place.

One thing we really love in France at this time of the year are the Judas trees. But wonder of wonders our very own one here has put on a spectacular show this year.
